This policy explains what personal data [Your legal/trading name] (“LeadFinderPro”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit leadfinderpro.net or use the LeadFinderPro desktop application, and how we handle it.

The short version: LeadFinderPro is a desktop app that runs on your own computer and uses your own Google Places API key. The business listings you search for are sent directly from Google to your device — they never pass through or get stored on our servers. We collect very little personal data about you.

1. Who we are

LeadFinderPro is operated by [Your legal/trading name], based in the Netherlands ([Your business address]; [KvK no. + VAT/BTW no., if applicable]). We are the “data controller” for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question you can reach us at support@leadfinderpro.net.

2. Data we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact & support data. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message.
  • Order data. When you buy LeadFinderPro, our payment provider (see below) shares limited information with us — typically your name, email address and order reference — so we can deliver your license and provide support.
  • Website usage data. Like most websites, our hosting and any analytics or advertising tools may automatically log technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and timestamps. [List your tools here, e.g. Google Analytics and Google AdSense / Plausible / none]

We do not ask for or store payment card details (those go straight to our payment provider), and we do not knowingly collect special categories of data.

3. How the LeadFinderPro app handles data

This is important, because it is unusual in our favour:

  • The application is installed and runs locally on your Windows device.
  • It uses your own Google Cloud / Google Places API key, which you enter and which is stored on your machine, not ours.
  • When you run a search, requests go directly from your computer to Google’s Places API. The resulting business listings are returned to your device and saved locally as CSV/Excel by you.
  • We do not receive, intercept or store your API key, your searches, or the results you export.

Your use of Google’s services is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policy, and any API charges are billed by Google directly to you.

4. Payments & checkout

Purchases are processed by our payment provider, [Your payment provider — e.g. Polar or Gumroad], which acts as the merchant of record (the authorised reseller) for LeadFinderPro. When you buy, the provider collects and processes the data needed for the transaction — such as your name, email, billing address and payment details — under its own privacy policy. 5. Why we use your data & our legal basis

  • To deliver your purchase and license — performance of our contract with you.
  • To provide customer support — our legitimate interest in helping customers, and performance of the contract.
  • To operate and secure the website — our legitimate interest in a working, safe site.
  • For analytics and advertising — your consent, where required, via the cookie banner.
  • To comply with legal obligations — e.g. tax and accounting records.

6. Cookies & analytics

Our site uses cookies and/or similar technologies that are strictly necessary for it to function. [Your site loads Google AdSense, which uses advertising cookies. 7. Who we share data with

8. How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as required by tax law (generally seven years in the Netherlands). Support emails are kept only as long as needed to assist you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Analytics and advertising data is retained per the settings of the tools used.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email support@leadfinderpro.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit the data we hold in the first place.

11. Children

LeadFinderPro is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
